We cry missionary, missionary
Why won’t you understand?
We don’t want you
We don’t want you
We don’t want you on our land.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why don’t you go home?
Go home
Go home
Go home to where you belong.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why do you refuse?
To stay silent
To stay silent
To stay silent about your Good News.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why did you stay?
Soldiers are coming
Soldiers are coming
Soldiers are coming to take you away.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why didn’t You leave?
Now you are hanging
You are hanging
You are hanging on a tree.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why forgive every one?
Now we are crying
We are crying
We are crying over what we have done.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why didn’t we see Truth?
We buried our God
Buried our God
Buried our God inside a man’s tomb.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why didn’t we understand?
It is we who are living
Who are living
Who are living on Your holy land.

Why cry missionary, missionary
Why can’t we—right now-- go home?
Go home
Go home
Go home to where we belong.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why choose us to be missionaries too?
We will never be silent
Never be silent
Never be silent about Your Good News.

We cry missionary, missionary
Why won’t we listen and learn?
Soldiers will be praying
Soldiers will be praying
Soldiers will be praying until Your return.

I like the message you express here. The layout was nice, but a little long and repetative for my brain. Good job!

Jesus - the ultimate missionary!!

Whether intended or not, the pun on the word 'Cry' is very effective. The greatest Missionary man has known was reviled and killed when they cried "Crucify Him". Since then missionaries (not all) have suffered in His name. Your poem has brought two ideas across. Well done.
