The Life of Purity

Life guiding blood in pure in content
searches for the souls in contempt
Beneath the rocks they lay in peril
hoping they are not drowned in unfertile soil
They are cool and polished for all the world to see
though inside they are dry and thirsty
needing eternal security
The complications crowd their minds and they
end up trapped in their own confines
A dry bed begins to appear
with no more provisions to intake here
Where do the souls embark to next
for it seems to be that their future is fixed
The life giving blood that flowed like water
they chose to ignore because it was too much of a bother
The River has washed away
and the souls suffer night and day
Regret sets in like a drop of moisture on the dry land
As they put up a desperate hand
to reach for what they knew to be true
Yet it canít be reached and it all remains askew
A River is here for all to drink
He will give you life more than you could ever think
Days and years will go by
hoping that you will never have to ask yourself why
Why did I not come down
and drink from the Cup
that was pure and sound
And in every way He could be found
Even through a river He is there

Dividing your poem into stanzas with spaces in between would make it easier to read. A good truth - "A River is here for all to drink" If only all would take advantage of it. God bless you!
