Funny that my Melody
Sings only sharpened harmony
And never seeks to lead.

She gives a flow and power
To all the Songs we sing
She helps them grow and flow from us
To the heart of God our King.

Her choir sings around her,
Leans in to catch her song,
If they follow carefully they know
Their notes will be most strong.

She is herself a steady gal
who prides herself on truth
And never ventures very far
From any grounded proof.

I love her in the morning
When I see her in the word
I feel her prayers as song for me
For prosperous days assured.

She is my Melody
Bright music to my soul
Her voice a gift to God most high
A stream that makes me whole.

This is our Melody
Who guides but never leads
How could we live without her
Or the harmony she seeds.

I loved this. It struck me as a loving tribute to a real person of beautiful character. Great poem!

The rhyming was super; but sometimes it didn't always make sense. But all in all I thought this poem quite delightful and enjoyed reading it. Job well done!

What a tenderly felt poem!

The first stanza only having three lines while the others all had four kind of threw me off a bit at first, but I ended up enjoying this. I really liked the lines about never venturing far from any grounded proof.
