I'm not sure what to call it — poetry or prose —, but I do know that I like this very much - simple, sleek, and super. Good work.

I especially like "...the cross He gives is light..." because I read "light" first as a noun, and then as an adjective. It works equally well either way, and even know I can't decide which way you meant it. Delightful.
Wow. Very unusual style. I like it a lot. Some deep stuff in there. Well done!
Probing, piercing...challenging. Nice "framing" of beginning and end. Enjoyed the unique format.

Beautiful,inspiring and a touching view of the cross!
Life itself is tension and we are lucky to have the Cross and the Resurrection. Your poem says it all. Very fine entry.

Hiya Suz! Finally get to read the finished product. Very challengeing and yet encouraging poem. I'm with Beth on the great circular nature of the piece, too.

I just love this piece. So true and a struggle that we all must face at times as we work out our theology and try to live with the gift of salvation instead of earning it...
