strike the sidewalk, off and running
dancing numbers soon becoming
someone’s loss or gain. still you
spin the wheel to look for answers,
take a sugar pill for cancer,
ask the nearest necromancer,
where to place the blame. for your
wasted years and all those tears, your
fading dreams that disappeared, your
trust in things that you should fear to
help you find your way. turn to
tarot cards, to shooting stars to
tell you who you really are, your
smoke and mirror prison guards can’t
free you from your pain. you can’t
read a palm that’s wet with sweat, can’t
free a fish caught in a net, can’t
take a chance you won’t regret
until you cry the name. cry the
only name that you’ve forsaken,
pushed aside by risks you’ve taken,
all the while your hearts been breaking,
broken it will stay, until you
look above not inside, no
answers there for you to find, no
truth within the devils lies, no
shelter from the rain. try the
One who’s knocking at your door to
bring you peace and so much more, just
trade your risk for His reward and
call upon His name, His precious name.

turn to tarot cards, to shooting stars
to tell...
But, well done regardless.
