He strutted around like a peacock on heat, but never would he be a man!
His nemesis; karate kid,
his belly resembled a sow,
the amount of times he fell on his back,
was when all I could hear was ow,ow ow!
Him, soon I dropped.
Thought I'd find me a man,
soon found myself next dating a hood,
found a lion, when I sought a man!
I'll never forget his roar!
A mobile next to his ear.
I shuddered when I heard him snore,
got away, with the help of my fear.
Soon, I left town,
thought I needed fresh air,
met a guy, while ambling along,
whilst singing all in love is fair!
But I had met a brute!
Who stung me in the riht ear,
my heart near stopped, as I went into shock, and I didn't say wow! but OW!
My ear on fire, I fled again, I moved on.
I now know my own heart is a
liar,
I'm singing a brand new song!
Man of my dreams,
I know you are somewhere out there,
what hasn't killed me, has made me feel strong,
here's a woman who says;
truth or dare!

I was waiting for the poem to conclude with the narrator finding Christ--the right Man!
I've started a class in the FaithWriters forums for Beginner and Intermediate writers. I'd love to see you there--look for "Jan's Writing Basics".
