“Mom, you missed the meeting.”
My nineteen year old daughter walked out of the old kitchen from the VBS meeting looking for her forgetful mother.
“I’m the one you forgets things, not you.”
I asked forgiveness from the VBS director and ate my humble pie.
“Barbara was here so that’s fine,” he told me.
Fortunately one member of the teaching team for the third and forth grade class was on the ball and remembered to attend the organizational meeting. She filled me in on the meeting as we drove home from church.
The funniest thing about it all is that before church I was the one reminding my daughter to be sure she didn’t forget about the meeting. Talk about eating crow!

I would have liked to know more about what she did when her daughter told her she forgot. I love the opening.
