I sense Death today.
My body,
easing,
It’s grip.
My Spirit anticipates.
The silence,
of,
my heart.
Love surrounds this wasted body.
My daughter’s,
sweet,
perfume.
Knowing it was my favorite.
Her touch,
upon,
my hand.
Words pour into my soul.
His Words,
release,
of Peace.
Thanksgiving covers sorrow.
Prayers,
I hear,
them speak.
My request for those I love.
The same,
one,
for all.
God warm them with Your Presence.
Protect,
guide,
embrace.
A sigh escapes my lips.
Of relief,
unto,
His Hands.
Life whisks me away.
His Smile,
His Arms,
my Home.

Your wonderful poem reminded me of my dear aunt and her impact on my life. Thank you so much.
