“Now the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”
“And God said, “Let there be light” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness night. And there was evening and there was morning – the first day.” Genesis 1:2-5 (NIV)
Morning – Beginning
The first sign of day. Whispers of Light pierce the darkest night, yet gently cradles our soul, enfolding us in Its Warmth.
Morning – Hope
As first Light was Spoken, darkness surrendered – so Hope dawned on a world empty and without form – so Hope dawns in the dark, empty soul.
Morning – Revelation
As the Spirit of God hovered over the dark waters of the Earth; the Spirit of God hovers over the dark waters of our heart – waiting to speak Light into its midst.
Morning – Healing
As the Earth stood helpless before its Creator – we stand helpless before our God; basking in His Light – drenched, in His healing Presence.
Morning – Praise
As creation responds to Mornings first glow; our hearts respond to His Shining Glory, our spirits soar above lingering shadows, hands rise to receive what is “Good.” We bow before His Majesty.
Morning – Promise
“You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into Light.”
Psalms 18:28 (NIV)
“I am the Light of the world.
Whoever follows Me
will never walk in darkness,
but will have the Light of Life.”
John 8:12 (NIV)
Morning – Remembrance
Creation has no date to honor, no date to celebrate.
New Morning – New Day; ageless remembrance to celebrate and honor “ – the first day.”
