My soul thirsts for You
Yearns for You
Clings to You
Longs for You
Pants for You
When I need comfort
And feeling blue

My soul thirsts for You
Yearns for You
Clings to You
Longs for You
Pants for You
When I need guidance
And have no clue

My soul thirsts for You
Yearns for You
Clings to You
Longs for You
Pants for You
When I have been wronged
And need to know what is right and true

My soul thirsts for You
Yearns for You
Clings to You
Longs for You
Pants for You
When times are good and bad
I keep you in plain view

My soul thirsts for You
Yearns for You
Clings to You
Longs for You
Pants for You
When life gets hectic and ferocious
Your right hand upholds me from the zoo

My soul thirsts for You
Yearns for You
Clings to You
Longs for You
Pants for You
Earnestly in everything I do

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1

My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me. Psalm 63:8

I stretch out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah. Psalm 143:6

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God. Psalm 42:1

A lovely psalm...there is serenity in the repeated phrase.

I wonder if the last two lines of each stanza would be more effective if they were more nearly equal in length.

Thanks for including the references that inspired your updated psalm.

I love the line "Your right hand upholds me from the zoo." How true! Thanks for sharing.
