Life’s Destination

Stepping out on this journey
In just a simple moment’s faith.
Traversing life’s uneven pathway
Determined not to pause or wait.
Overwhelming joy-
Giving the world but a passing glance,
Strong and confident, running ahead,
Caught up in the dance.

Then suddenly, I whirled around
Discovering an unexpected twist.
The path before me spiraled upward
On a course I would not have guessed.
The road ahead, no longer familiar-
In shoes I did not choose to wear.
But as I turned to double back,
The path had somehow disappeared.

Paralyzed with fear,
Unable to move from where I stood.
Falling earthward, crying out-
Seemed the only thing I could.
Then faith sparked from a touch,
“Do you want to be made whole?
Rise up and walk, my daughter-
Come, now let us go.”

Never abandoned as I travel,
His Heart, life’s destination.
Stepping out in faith victorious,
Immersed in marvelous celebration.
A journey, not only about that first step,
Nor even reaching its glorious end,
But how the Sovereign King of Glory
Becomes my love, my trusted friend.

Good effort, watch forcing rhymes. Good summary package.

The last four lines sold this poem for me! Nicely done.
