“Come on, Tanya cheer up surely it can’t be that bad.”

“Wanna bet?”

Jada was fed up of yanking Tanya out of pity parties. Lately it seems like she had one every week.

“Tanya, you have a lot of things to be thankful for. So you hate you job, at least you have a job. Yes you are approaching forty and still single, it’s better than been stuck in a bad marriage. We’ve acknowledge your finances are in a mess due to bad choices, beating yourself up is not going to change it.”

“Hmm” Tanya replied absent-mindedly as she picked at her afro puffs.

“Listen up Tanya, I am your friend and I am going to tell you the truth. You spend a lot of time whining about the problem, why don’t you speak what you want for a change.”

Tanya looked sceptical “You mean speak positively?”

“Uh huh”

Tanya looked bewildered “Jada I have tried I speak positive for a few days but when I am under pressure all the wrong stuff comes out”

“That is because you are speaking out of the abundance of your heart, you need to change what you put in your heart.”

“Oh no! You are not going to invite me to church again, are you?”

“Not this time Tanya, it’s your choice. If you want to change what you got, you’ve got to change what you do.”

“Alright! What time is the service?”

A little short on Topic matter, but a good message; needs a little editing, but a good effort. Keep writing.

Good start on what could be a very good piece. Good dialogue handling.

Good interchange of ideas. A lot of promise. Keep writing and get to be a little more longer so that the readers can get the hang of what you want them to know!
