What are you doing?

Well, God, thank you so much for the gift of prophecy. The words you gave me were phenomenal. Of course, I had to add further explanation to the body. I could have gone on for hours!

What are you doing?

Oh gee, God, thanks for the gift of sewing. Did you see the flags I made for you? I stand up in the front of the sanctuary waving them to and fro to help make worship more meaningful to the congregation. I just wish people would stand farther away from me so that I have more room near the altar and I can show them how I worship.

What are you doing?

God, I am sooo glad you gave me the gift of healing. People are lining up just to have me lay my hands on them. Some of them even fall on the floor, semi-conscious. The only problem is that they stay on the floor too long and others canít get a turn.

What are you doing?

Guess what, God? Iíve learned to write. I sat down one day and there it wasÖa poem. Now, I can point out to others what they are doing wrong by writing a story or a book or even start a blog. How exciting! Iím a writer!

What are you doing?

I performed a miracle. We needed more food for the church supper and I just prayed and boom! We had more food than we needed. How amazing is that? Itís a good thing that I was there.

What are you doing?

Lord, the strangest thing has happened. On my way to church there were so many accidents, dozens of people wandering on the streets with blood running down their faces. I couldnít stop and help because I needed to get ready for Sunday service. But the church was empty and no one came? I donít understand.

Lord, answer me. Where are you?

LordÖLord?

I gave you gifts to be fruitful for my Kingdom. The gifts of the Spirit produce the fruit of the Spirit. When did you practice my love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control? Your pen should have flowed with grace.

What about my Son? Did you testify?

As you have judged others, you will now be judged.

You are a resounding gong. I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoer!

A banquet of food for thought. Good Job!

A warning for the rapture - we must be real, committed Christians, inside and out. Thanks for giving me something over which to ponder.

Excellent use of dialogue to build to a chilling conclusion. Your pen is mighty. Keep on, warrior!

Very good lesson - we're so busy "doing" we forgot what we're supposed to really do.

VERY creative! And even a play on words in the title. Me and GOd instead of "God and me"; and loved the truth behind every thought! Very nicely done! Well written, also.

Oooh! This is unique. The adversary surely knows how to get our eyes off Jesus and onto our own puffed up version of ourselves. Thank you for the good warning!

Deb...insightful, thought provoking, and above all, covicting.I love the progression in this and the tie with the rapture. The title is so clever too! That alone says it all, "Me & God"
(not only me first, but JUST me & God; leaving others in my wake!/or dust!) I enjoyed this very much!God Bless! Pat
