Oh, breath, breathe out praises to my King,
from within my soul, may I sing;
and give honor where honor is truly due.
Oh, Lord, I sing my praises only to You.

Search and find within my heart
the spark, the light, the brightest part,
placed there by You in time now past;
and renew the flame and make it last

Oh, Lord, I cling to the hope, that word,
the Voice within that I have heard
that promised love and light restored
Oh, Lord, let Your love flow more and more.

Ooooo, love this! I wish there were more, but there is says it all. Good job.

Got so excited that I left out a word: "what there is says it all". Blessings.

Really good poetry just unglues me, and you did it! Your second stanza is especially gorgeous. What a way to worship the King.

Although I do not care for rhyming couplets, you have handled this well. This might work as lyrics for a song, add a chorus.
