I awake in the morning.
I feel the warmth of the sun,
and hear the birds sing outside my window.
I’m given the opportunity to enjoy another day,
and I am thankful.

I gaze upon my wife with adoring eyes.
I feel the tenderness of her touch,
the warmth of her embrace,
the passion of her kiss.
I’m allowed to share my life, my love
for as long as I live,
and I am jubilant.

I play with my son.
I revel in his youthful enthusiasm,
his innocence.
I’m amazed at the responsibility to protect,
to mould, to teach,
and admire his eagerness to learn.
I’m able to watch him grow,
to mature,
and I am gratified.

I see the splendor of God every day,
and am awestruck by the wonders of our Lord.
I am humbled by the realization that without Him
I have nothing,
I am nothing.
I pray to Him for guidance,
He blesses me with His wisdom,
His grace, His unconditional love,
and I am fulfilled.

To find contentment, by GOd's grace, in the 'ordinary' things of life...good stuff

A very thoughtful poem. Everything in our lives has a measure of fulfillment for us all because of God above. I feel your joy at having these people in your life.
