Have you ever been suspended?
Between life and death
Locked in space
No hope do you see?

It is a forsaken place to be,
Dark and lonely
Paralyzed,
You cannot move, You cannot see!

The space hovers around me
Every turn I take.
I am blind
Darkness is all I see!

Who will help me?
I am all alone.
Forsaken,
You cannot move, You cannot see!

A voice so quiet, says tenderly,
“Take my hand,
Reach out to me,
I will help you.”

I am so afraid,
Lost in my space.
“Where did he come from?”
“How did he know I was here?”

“Go get help”, I say.
“Bring a rope and a light"
"For I am locked in this space".
"Help me, I pray.”

“No need for those things”, he says.
“I am here in your space".
"Reach out,
I will light your way.”

“Who are you, brother?”
“I am He who loves you,
I have never left you,
Though you felt suspended in space.”

“Though your darkness envelopes you,
I see you.”
“Let me take your hand,
Just reach out.”

“You want me to trust you”,
“When I cannot see you?”
“Yes, have faith in Me,
I will pull you through.”

So torn am I
My doubts give way-
I want life
To reside in me!

He takes my hand,
And His beacon shines,
He was with me
All the time.

He is the key
That unlocked my heart,
Freedom –
No longer suspended in time.

No matter how long-
I need to remain
He is with me.
I can move, I can see!

I just needed to reach out,
Have faith,
Take His hand,
And He led me all the way.

Whether in life or in death,
He knows my path
I am not alone,
He has filled my space.

The door was locked,
To my heart; but now
I have found peace
In Him forevermore.

This is so incredible. I loved the truth and the beauty that you write with.

A good message of hope here. A few too many switches in the early stanzas between the "you" and "I" POV, but it all straightened out at the end. Good job.

The first line caught my attention and I read throughout. Switching between "I" and "you" was confusing, but this is a nice poem.
