I come here to the lake often when the pressures of my life seem too much for me to bear. I love to watch the ripples of the water shining like diamonds on a bed of blue-green velvet. The muted shades of pink and yellow melt down on me like lemonade from the sky. I breathe in the fresh crisp air and let it restore me, calm me.

Carelessly, I let the brilliant sunshine pierce my eyes until I can barely see anything else but light, pure light. If only I could travel on sunbeams to the source of all light, perhaps Iíd find the answer to my never-ending quest to know my real purpose.

It seems like Iíve been paddling a canoe in the wrong direction all my life, while speedboats race past me on the way to the finish line. I concede. Then, I remember where Iíve come from and where Iím going.

I canít be motivated any more by cheering crowds urging me to join the flow of the race. Their view of the prize is far different from mine now. Instead, Iíd rather seek adventure in solitude, manning a sailboat tossed any way the wind blows.

Perhaps it is ďnot knowingĒ the outcome that is so intriguing, so challenging, so worth the risk. When I can ride the crest of the storm and finally sleep in the harbor of your tranquility, I have found ďme.Ē

The end now is certainly not what I once expected it to be. Itís no longer a figment of anotherís painting of my life. Itís my vision now because itís your vision too. Youíve given me courage to have faith that Iím headed in the right direction.

Iíve seen the end, the source of the light. Itís just the beginning, and it is beautiful.

This is very serene, and I especially appreciated your 4th paragraph.

Now we're talking about some good writing here. I love your descriptiveness. Good Job.
