The year is 1960 and Donna lives in a Brown Stone House on Marion Street.
Donna's block is always kept clean. It has beautiful trees swaying back and forth.

It's springtime, and the children are at school.
.
During this era, children grew up with the word obedience.
The children not only know the word, they put the word in action.

Some children would ask the neighbors if they need something from the store.

Other times, you would see some children that have newspaper jobs.
These children always got up early in the morning, and they went to their job route.

If and elderly neighbor needs something from the store.
You could find any older child that is willing to go to the store.
The child would come right back from the store with all of the elderly neighbor change.

The children always show their action of obedience.

Whenever the milkman comes and delivers the milk, a child is there to take the milk into the house. He or she knows better to steal anybody's milk.

The block has block parties and each family member knows to bring a dish.
The neighbors gather together as a family and have a wonderful time during the party.

Whenever there is open school week the children doesn't have to worry about getting a poor report from the teacher. The children know all about being obedient to their elders.
The teacher can teach without any disruption.

In the school hallways the children and teaches are passing by, the children know that quiet is a rule. And if the teacher catches anyone talking, the teacher will give you one more chance, and if the teacher hears the talking again, your mother or father will be coming to school that next day.

Teaches didn't have to talk over and over. The children had well up bringing. Again they knew and used the word obedience.

And it wasn't just on Donna's block that the children were obedience, it was mostly all over.

I lived this era; this is why I can speak about it. My sisters, brother, and I, we all had respect for one another. The word was like food to us. We knew to display it at all times,

In this era that we live in today, some children and parents doesn't know the word and doesn't use the word obedience.

It saddens me to know that some children and parents take the word obedience and tosses up in the air. Some delete, remove, eliminate, cut out, and erase the word from there- vocabulary.

Hi, you have a good point here. Thanks for sharing your view. You have many grammar errors, however, and you would do well to fix these before submitting. God bless.

Your article "We are lost without the Word" truly has some good points. It would be helpful if you could get someone to assist you with the grammar part of it.
