Allison cherished Heaven. Freed of her wheelchair at twelve, she loved to cartwheel, backflip, and do that which had been impossible for her in life. Everyone enjoyed basking in God’s glory for eternity, yet, other options existed above too.
“I want to help kids like me,” she volunteered.
Unlike the gifted angelic hierarchy, Allison’s only ability was stepping into the Earth realm to impart strength and hope to sick children. Allison managed them with gusto. When her spiritual energy would inevitably diminish, she returned to Heaven’s dominion to revitalize.
Heavenly bystanders offered well-intended advice.
“You must reduce your work load, Allison.”
“You’ve taken on too much, dear.”
Allison envisioned her years of confinement. Although recollections no longer hurt emotionally, she remembered watching others play, always on the outside of frolic and on the inside of a hospital for tests.
Before she slipped through the haze to Earth, she bowed her head and prayed. “Father, you know I’m happiest helping. Please don’t lessen my work load. Instead, I want to help more kids who need you most. If it is your will, please make it possible.”
Allison felt a jolt as angels appeared and placed a halo of spiritual vigor above her head. She smiled a glorious “thank you.”
Her once-skeptical onlookers fell contritely to their knees, praising “With God, all things are possible” while a magnified Allison, triple back-flipped and with angelic-like skill, flew over their heads, through the veil, never doubting that faith produced big results in heaven too.
