TITLE: New Growth Blooms
By Kim Stairs

As we walk with Christ, we come to realize that when we think we understand what He is up to we definitely do not. Two years ago my husband and I answered a call of God for our life. It was a direction we strongly felt to take. Six months later though we were wondering what went wrong.
The road was definitely rough. Praise God that when we are in the pressure He is faithful to take care of our every need both spiritually and physically. We sold our home, had no income, and moved into a cock roach infected apartment (not revealed until after we were settled in). I took care of that apartment like it was my castle. We survived financially from the Lordís provision after we had lived off of the gain of our home and tax return. There were so many miracles in our wilderness. And there will be for you, when you trust and wait upon the Lord.
It was a wilderness on every level for me and my husband. We went through a financial wilderness, marital wilderness, and spiritual wilderness. As we struggled and held onto God, He never let us go. Never stop giving to the Lord His tithe when you seem to have nothing. It is in being trusted with little that He can trust you with much.
Two years later, in a much better apartment, we had started over and the healing began. Our finances were restored, our marriage was restored, and my husband was healed and restored. We had no idea what God had in store for us, and still we are in awe of His blessings. When we obey God, He is faithful no matter what is happening around us.
Then a gun show changed it all. A man spoke with my husband, and the situation we were in was shared. He spoke of a home in the country with land. This was all my husband talked about for months. We trusted God and waited from October to March to move into this home. It has become our castle. There were many miracles during that time period. We have moved from cock roaches to deer. Children sharing rooms to all of us are having our own room. No storage, to a barn and milk shed.
It was spring when we moved into this two story farm house on ten acres of land. God is faithful. Winter brings death, and a lot of issues in our lives died during that desert season in our life. God never lets anything die without new life coming from it. We have to live a convicted life during the dry seasons and not compromise. God is refining us to be as gold. If you have let a dream, ministry, marriage die, do not lose heart, God has all you ever need. And when you begin to see the new growth in your life, it is more than you could have imaged it to be.

Have you considered rewriting your story in more depth, sharing the lessons and blessing of that difficult time? Try varying the grammer and sentence structure and watch for repetitious wording.

I'd love to read more about this? What were the circumstances behind your first move? What happened to change them at the gun show? You've got a great start here, but filling in the details would help a lot.
