A wondrous wind waves glory in the sky
Cherubim amass when the trumpet sounds
Prepare our hearts His children He will find

Curtains of clouds parting on high unwind
Grand youth with visions favorably found
A wondrous wind waves glory in the sky

Behold our bridegroom triumphantly rides
Clothed in fine linen sail armies abound
Prepare our hearts His children He will find

Waiting sons and daughters have prophesied
His spirit flows on all persons around
A wondrous wind waves glory in the sky

The dreams of dreams of olden men designed
All people shall avow and knees bow down
Prepare our hearts His children He will find

Angels gather from heavens those assigned
All worshipping the King of many crowns
A wondrous wind waves glory in the sky
Prepare our hearts His children He will find

¨And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams.¨ Acts 2: 17

¨Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man and all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory, and He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.¨ Matthew 24: 30

What a day that will be!
You have an interesting rhyme pattern. I couldn't quite figure it out in last stanza, though. Isn't it fun to play with words and make something beautiful out of them?

I have been learning a lot about poetry lately, and this is a fine villanelle. If the judges are familiar with this type of poem, this should truly be a winner. I have tried this one but gave up because it is very hard to do. Brilliant.

My own poetry is just a notch or two above the scrawls of angst-ridden teenagers, so I can't comment on the structure of the villanelle itself. What I can say, though, is this is positively beautiful. Your talent amazes me. Well done.
