The season of winter is about to begin
As it does every December
With it comes the cold and chill
And holidays to remember
The chill of the winter mornings
And the frosty winter nights
Are forgotten when the Christmas season comes
With all its beautiful lights
It’s a time when friends and family
Come together to share some time
To share the blessings of their lives
A time for all to unwind
Winter is a time that is sad for some
Those lost and lonely souls
Who’s lives have gone the wrong direction
And have become filled with holes
No family or friends to speak of
No one to share their lives
No meal to share on the holidays
No children, no husbands no wives
It’s so cold under the bridge
As winter takes its hold
It’s a time for us to share what we have
If we would be so bold
With winter come the death
Of grass, and flowers and leaves
But gives the promise of new life to come
For that reason, we do not grieve
Each season brings its pleasures
None compare to winters bliss
With the birth of Jesus Christ
And the touch of the Masters kiss
So celebrate the winter season
And all that it will bring
For soon new life will emerge
As the winter, turns to spring.
