When we open our Bibles and read the many words, inspired by God (II Timothy 3:16), by so many different authors, we get a clue that God can also give us words of inspiration. Therefore, the first thing may be to ask God what He would have us write. After all, He gave us this talent in the first place, and He sure would want us to use it for His glory. The Lord has a message to give to the world, and we are His messengers. If we include Him, the message will always be from Him and not from us.
Next, we should ask ourselves if our writing lines up with the Word of God. We need to be sure the values and convictions we are presenting are the same as God values. Whether we are writing for pleasure or for some other purpose, it should never contradict the Scriptures. This is a good way to double check if we heard from God or if it is our own imagination.
Finally, does it inspire others to a closer walk with the Lord? Not everything we write needs to be a bible lesson, but it should be above reproach as far as grammar, attitude, morality, and spirituality. We need to make sure what we say will never cause someone to stumble or to turn away from God. Rather our writing should be encouraging, uplifting, something we would expect Jesus to say if He were doing the writing.
In conclusion, let us get our inspiration from God, check it with the Word, and draw as many closer to the Lord as we can. With Jesus as our author, the one who knows all things, the opportunities for divine inspiration are endless.

Keep on writing!
It's submitting to God's Spirit, being sensitive to what He says and then obeying what we've heard.
If we do that we should have no problems in our writing or in our speech.
Amen!
