Do What You Do Well

Exodus 35:1-11 (NIV)

Two men in the Bible,
Oholiab and Bezalel,
Are examples for us,
Our talents to jell.

God needed these two,
To build the big tent,
Engineers He made them,
It is quite evident.

God said, “Moses, I have chosen,
These Spirit filled men,
To do what they can.
I gave them their ken.”

Bezelel looked around asking,
“Who will assist me?”
Oholiab showed up and offered,
“God sent me to help thee.”

So Bezelel and Oholiab,
Tackled the work,
And managed skilled craftsmen,
No task did they shirk.

Each in his own way,
And each for his God,
They did what they could,
And were not slipshod.

Grasping the tools of their trade,
Their results weren’t covert,
For God had made them,
Both an expert.

With our gifts to His glory,
We each should aspire,
To serve our Creator,
Before we expire.

To perform what we can,
And all that we should,
We were specially gifted,
To do what we could.
