Are we not, as believers and those meant to season and brighten our arenas of personal influence, compelled to ask ourselves a simple question: Is it beautiful?

As we arise and go about the elements comprising our lives do we ever stop long enough to be aware of the possiblity and necessity of such a question? And when it finally occurs to us that such a thing might and ought be done what do we find the answer to be?

Is not our God and eternal Father the author and perfecter of the beauty within us? Too often we reflect the patterns of this world's marred concept of beauty. Or we do not reflect on the beauty found in the face of Jesus allowing Him to disappear in our present day crowdedness. That which is truly beautiful is not properly seen as desirable.

It takes a willing adherence to basic spiritual disciplines in order to be bathed freshly and daily in God's beauty. These include prayer, praise and worship, reading the Word and engaging in meaningful and regular fellowship with other commited believers.

In our present culture where "Makeover Madness" seems present on so many television programs and other forms of media perhaps we need to seek a true beauty makeover. The makeover we need in order to be truly beautiful is to be made over by the renewing of our minds through fellowship with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Bravo! More time spent in God's presence would increase the beauty we recognize around us. Very thought provoking:)
