My God has no accent and every accent He doth have,
So that every ear can hear the words my loving Lord has said.
He speaks to me when I am quiet and sitting all alone,
Sometimes I am in traffic and sometimes I am at home.
My God has no lisp and therefore is easily understood,
So that no man, woman or child should be anything but good.
He comes to me in the morning freshly risen from my bed,
Sometimes I am reading my bible or thinking of Him in my head.
My God does not stutter or stumble when He begins to speak,
So that all will understand clearly and in Him they will seek.
He walks with me at night under the brightness of the stars,
Sometimes He is so very quiet whilst dealing with my heart.
My God is the only one living God and a God to each and all,
So that each can speak with Him no matter the topic big or small.
