Saul asked David, “Play your harp”
“And sing away my troubled heart”
Sweet words in song from out him came
As David played and also sang

The Lord is my shepherd says David's song
In God's embrace we all belong
Upon green pastures we will lay
Sweet waters will wash our tears away

Giving me comfort where ever we roam
That nearer to Him, the closer to home
For He's my good shepherd
In thoughts, deeds and words

No matter if fire, floods or pain
God is with you, knows your name
You are precious in His sight
Trading nations for your life

A perfect host the Lord has been
Blessing me with oiled skin
Protecting me from enemies
Leading me through life with ease

And if I follow where he leads
To honor all His words and deeds
Forever I will live with Him
Within His house, free from sin.

A skilled, modern re-telling of Psalm 23. Good job!
