He waded in the church and he got his feet all wet.
He showed up every Sunday, but for what he didnít get.
He waded in the church and he got his feet all wet.
But he didnít have the Lordís rest, yet.

Story, for a warning to ya.
Story, for a warning to ya.
Story, for a warning to ya.
He didnít have the Lordís rest, yet.

He waded in the church and he got his knees all wet
He prayed for this and that, then constantly heíd fret.
He waded in the church and he got his knees all wet.
But the savior of the world, he hadnít met!

He waded in the church and he got his wallet wet.
He gave lots of money, to be wasted he would bet.
He waded in the church and he got his wallet wet,
But he didnít know that God had paid his debt.

Story, for a warning to ya.
Story, for a warning to ya.
Story, for a warning to ya.
He didnít know that God had paid his debt.

He waded in the church and he got his head all wet.
He dabbled in the Bible, words to him did not rivet.
He waded in the church and he got his head all wet
But Godís love in his heart he never let.

He waded in the church and his soul remained all wet.
He refused to see Lord Jesus that all our sin he did forget.
He waded in the church and his soul remained all wet.
Now he wonít be wading in his casket.

Story, for a warning to ya.
Story, for a warning to ya.
Story, for a warning to ya.
No one ever wades in their casket.

If youíre wading in the church, now donít get all upset.
Tell God of every sin and every sin regret.
Jesus paid for all of them, the total of your debt.
Ask Jesus in your heart and youíre all set.

While wading in the church, have a new mindset
Lord Jesus over all of you; a better life, you bet!
While waiting for that destined day with no fear or regret
Cuz, youíll have the Lordís eternal rest, YES!

Glory story hallelujah
Glory story Hallelujah
Glory story, hallelujah
Cuz , youíll have Godís eternal rest, YES!
(based on a childrenís nursery song ďShe waded in the water.Ē
It was sung to the tune of Battle Hymn of the Republic)

This is awesome. Though I'm not very musical, I definitely was singing this in my head. Great job.
