There are many who pursue forbidden fruit but I am here to tell you I have tasted the sweet succulence of the forbidden and the price paid for my indulgence was beyond my comprehension.
I had everything - a glorious home, a loving husband, the perfect life. There was nothing I desired not at my disposal. I experienced luxury and leisure. Enjoyment and laughter. Simplicity and extravagance.
I did not understand nor had I experienced pain, heartache, or consequence. I did not know what it was to suffer nor did I have the desire to find out. But then I had a conversation with the wrong person and my world spun out of control.
Forbidden fruit is like that. You see it at a distance but it doesn’t draw you. But when someone else draws attention to it and starts your mind down that path you become mesmerized. Before you know it everything you thought to be true is second guessed. You take a closer look and you desire. Then you do the unthinkable - you take and your eat.
As the delicious juice dripped down my chin I knew, the world had changed forever because I desired the forbidden fruit.
