Our heart is the most important

organ in our body. Also, the heart is

the most important part of our

spiritual life. The Bible says the

devil walks about like a prowling

lion ready to destroy us. As

Christians, we must we on guard. We

must be aware of what our eyes see,

our mouth speaks and where our feet

go. We use our eyes, our mouth and

our feet either to obey God or disobey

Him.

In Matthew 16:6, Christians are

called to watch out and beware. Mark

13:23 reminds us to take heed. Out

of our heart comes emotions,

conscience, thoughts and will. Where

our heart leads, the eyes, the mouth

and feet follow. Pride, envy, greed

and power are the devices Satan uses to

devour us.

Proverbs 4:23 commands us to

guard our heart. We must be ready to

guard our heart at all times. Proverbs

explains exactly how we can guard our

heart. In verse 24, we are told to

put away from us a deceitful mouth.

Verse 24 indicates we are always to

have our eyes looking directly ahead.

If we focus straight ahead, we are not

distracted by pride, envy, greed, power

and lust. Verse 26 calls us to watch

the path where our feet travel. Our

feet take us to places that please or

displease God. Finally, verse 27

finalizes these instructions. Verse

27 commands us to turn our feet from

evil. If we guard our heart at all

times, we will experience the beauty

and mercy of walking with God.

I guess a believing-trusting life in Christ follows blessings, right? As the Master's disciples, we follow God's ways and teaching. Thank you for your reminder for all of us. Keep writing. Blessings fellow writer!

You did a nice job of finding verses that went right along with the topic. I kind of wish you had just taken one or two and really expand on them and give some examples to help people understand better. You have a way of showing how much these words mean to you. I think you would have the start of a good Bible study on these verses. Good job.
