I thought I knew all the answers
The smartest man around.
But when I looked for that brightness
Darkness is what I found.
I traveled the world over
To show off all my skill.
When I try to shed some light
Sadness is what I feel.
Searching ever searching
Emptiness is what I find.
Can’t seem to find the answers
In the gathers in my mind.
My wondering is unsuccessful
The response is not too clear.
Must I go on wandering
Or is the solution near?
I contemplate and meditate
On far too many things.
So many questions rushing ‘round
No answers do they bring.
Then one day you helped me see
An answer I understood.
If I will draw Him close to me
I’d gain the strength I should.
Trust in the Lord with your heart
Not on what you understand.
In everyway acknowledge Him.
You’ll live within His plan. *
Those questions that you’re chasing
That are hiding all around?
Look to the Lord for all you needs
Then answers will be found.
