If I had a million pounds would I go round door to door?
Would I share it all around and say, here, Iíll give you more.

Would I feed the worldís hungry, find cures for woes and ills;
Would I find the sick and lonely, dish out meds and happy pills?

Would I cruise the seven seas, visit wonders of the world
Live in wondrous luxury, one big selfish, social whirl?

Could I meet the nationís rulers, bang heads together till they know?
That peace not war is vital, that their people matter so.

One millionís not enough; I need another million pounds,
To sort out fresh priorities, get projects off the ground.

Could I clear off all the land mines, banish instruments of war,
Outlaw hate and envy, bring in peace for evermore.

One thing thatís not at all in my imaginary equation,
Is space or satellite research, a waste for any nation.

Enough problems here on earth without going into space
The moneyís needed here not on silly space-age race.

I could fund Godís work in foreign lands, build schools and homes galore
Fund preachers and evangelists, native teams and many more.

Iím going round in circles, too many choices here to face
Iíll ask my Heavenly Father for His answers and His grace.

For itís His direction needed, although as youíll understand,
This is all so hypothetical, such crazy dreams so grand.

So Lord if you should ever, see fit to send great wealth my way
May I have your eyes to see, with humility, I pray.

But for now you ask not what Iíd do with wealth and cash to spend,
But what I do today for you with what is in my hand.

I love how well your poem flowed. It rhymed, but was not forced, and it started out with a question/problem and ended an answer. Bravo!
