I have always looked at the world threw rose colored glasses, thinking everything would turn out all right. If you just work hard at life and help others you would make it, whatever it means to make it. I did not always consult God in the matters most important and I choose not to see what was in front of my eyes.

When high school was over I married a man or should I call him a boy against my parents' wishes. They wanted me to be a teacher but I seemed to be driven to do my own thing and I thought this was best for me

I married a man that was not a Christian. There was so much we could not share or even understand about each other. I tried to get him involved in church and so did others but he continued to resist. After two children and his affairs he left me and we divorced. Such a hard thing to go through in your late twenties for a girl who saw the world through rose colored glasses.

A two-fold cord is easily broken. We did not trust Jesus for our marriage. He pulled one way and I pulled the other. I choose not to see until the very end of our marriage. Then it was too late to save. He did not want Jesus and I did.

Marrying again is hard when there are children involved. My second husband and I had five children together. I put the rose colored glasses on and there I went. My second husband did not know the Lord we had little in common. I tried very hard to make this work, even though I was so afraid most of the time that it would not work out.

I started going to church then, in time my husband went to church to. It took time and much prayer but he gave his heart to Jesus. After thirty-seven years and many hard and rocky times we are still married. A threefold cord, a cord with Christ in the center cannot be broken.

The enemy will try to break this cord. He will use every weakness you have. He does not want Christian marriages to last. He wants us to appear weak and just like the world or even weaker than the world. If you can keep Christ at the center of your marriage and your family there this threefold cord, this triple braided cord cannot be broken. Be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Trust Jesus He will do this for you if you do your part He will do His. Christ is the unbreakable strand the strenght of our marriage and family.
