Itís my job to find my purpose
To find out what I mean.
To look within myself in truth
Not just in a dream.

I wander Ďround the world
To find what dwells within.
I try to live the future
As what it might have been.

All of this is empty
I only look a mess.
I canít find direction
I have failed my test.

Nothing I have is working
Iím frozen cannot move.
The things I try to be
I have yet to prove.

Reality has touched me
Brings tears into my eyes.
I find I canít do it alone
No matter how I try.

Then what is the answer
Where should I begin?
I stand and look ahead
Still canít see within.

So I sit here saddened
I feel I canít go on.
Cause everything I try to do
Seems to turn out wrong.

Now I see an answer
I will employ someone.
But where would I find them
This searching isnít fun.

In the quiet of the evening
I kneel in silent prayer.
I know my quest is over
My answer is right there.

God will be my teacher
Heíll show me how to live.
I will give my life to Him
Thatís all that I can give.

Now Iíve found employment
My jobís an easy one.
All I do is spread the news
About his precious Son.

He gave His life for me
Who could ask for more?
At my job Iíve succeeded
I found out what Iím for.

Oh I loved this! The poem flowed smoothly, and the meaning sublime. I truly ejoyed this - I read it three times, and I will come back again to read it. Powerful. God Bless you~

This is a beautiful poem and the thoughts behind it are so great. There is nothing like a good poem to convey a deep message. Great job.

This really touched my heart. I could feel the despair and anguish. God is truly the only answer.
