SOMEONE WORTH CLINGING TO

“I know that I said I would be there at 6:00, but something has come up, and I can’t make it.”

How many times have we prepared for company before we receive this call?
How many times have we heard a similar statement?

I have found, after 80 years of experience, there is only a very small nucleus of people, which a person can rely upon, and one person we can totally rely upon.

This one person is a preacher that I know personally. He has preached to literally thousands of people, attempting to direct their lives in the right direction.

This Man did not hesitate to tell people where they stood, He did not hesitate to tell people just what they are like, and yet, many came to listen.

No, He is not a preacher of a mega church; but a Man who had a total commitment to His Father; and ended up His ministry with only a few who were truly committed to Him.

You might say, “Well, He must be a radical person” Commitment calls for radical people. Those earthly followers that committed to Him, nearly all lost their lives in the process of service for Him, after He was crucified on a cruel cross.

Because of His love for sinful humanity, He willingly gave His life for us, according to His Father’s will.

Commitment calls for sacrifice; but the benefits are out of this world. Yes, with God’s help, I am committed to serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Will you join me?

A real good story! All I can say is that "service has its rewards".

I enjoyed this short, but to the point message. If you added a scripture verse and a prayer it would be a perfect devotional, worthy of being submitted to some devotional magazines. Congratulations for ranking 6th in leveltwo!
