Rain is more than a gift from heaven. It is more than a blessing from above; it is like a rainbow of God's grandeur caught below the skies above. What we know of God's mercy can seem to be captured like a flood. But only rain in all its splendour can fill us with a special love...an affection for our Creator and an overflowing heart can equip us for what's better in earth and in heaven above. Let us live like water baptized believers fresh from the springs of the earth below. We shall be in better quarters than the fish that splash and leap into the air from the sea. And may the blessing of rain water fill our mouths and minds with more than some dewy reminder of God's goodness for us and for Mother Earth. Lastly, think of the gathering stormclouds as symbols of more than bitter battles waged and forming in some distant land. Think of them as givers of rainfall that soon will replenish our barren lands. Thank God for the rain and for God's blessings and thank you for your patience too.
