Before time began, God was plotting. Like an artist who strokes the lines of his painting within his mind, composing its essence before setting oil to canvas. We catch a glimpse of His artist touch in the light that streams across the night’s sky, in a child’s laughter, in the calling of a loved one to their heavenly home.
He calls to us. Come see His handiwork. Isaiah’s “High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity” beckons us to approach Him. He has made provision for all; mercy overcoming judgment’s rage. His heart’s desire is clear. He wants to heal, to restore, and to introduce His love and peace into broken lives. He entreats us to enter into His habitation, find our present-place in His eternity.
There are those moments within life’s tempest when we can feel His embrace. When we know HE has not forgotten. Let us rest in His care, get our comfort and healing while He is near.
Rather than waiting for heaven’s gate to draw near, turn to Him with deepest-felt prayer. To Him, a heart is precious and handled with care, and He hears its faintest cry.
We dwell in the here-and-now. But let us not forget, He is here.
