He Is
Jesus is the lilly of the valley,
He is the bright and morning star,
all things beautiful – the rose of Sharon,
Wonderful, Counselor, Messiah, King.
We can find Him in a rose garden,
in a walk in the woods at springtime.
He is our Friend, Savior, always with us.
All we need do is believe, call His name.
Yet, it is said He has no physical beauty,
He is not attractive in many eyes.
Only if we know Him, sense His presence,
know His love, how He suffered for us all,
can we see His beauty that comes from within.
The same yesterday, today and forever.
Can we ever praise Him enough throughout earth?
Do we love Him with all heart, soul and mind?
Do we worship Him in faith, trust Him wholly?
Most of all, He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings,
He is a lovely garden of flowers,
whose essence is as no other – devine,
a waterfall that cascades, vibrant, sparkling.
He is the Great I Am – so can we not
proclaim Him however we perceive Him?
He is ours, and we are His, He bought us
on that cross at Calvary.
