It seems most Christians of today,
Illiterate at best.
To talk the language Christ would give,
Would come out like a jest.
They speak with words of different tongues,
But people love them so.
They tell them what they want to hear,
It is the language show.
Just go to church and say their prayers.
The liturgy to read.
When that’s complete, it is potluck,
Such superficial need.
Then take the sacraments each week.
Because this man said come.
You think they’ll make you Heaven bound?
Without Christ leave you numb.
Misunderstood, for they’re not clear.
Most won’t understand.
A foreign language to their ear.
They’ve faith without a plan.
They think that it is grace by works.
Deception at its best.
The Bible tells that grace is free,
There is no working test.
For if Salvation comes to us,
By works performed each day.
All would feel the lake of fire.
None good enough to stay.
Is the language that you speak,
Well known by the Lord?
Or is it foreign to His ears,
And not of His accord?
