The voice of one rings loud and clear
And listeners respond in kind
While another sits quietly, her voice so soft
She cannot reveal her mind.
The thoughts of one, like the color red
Are seen both far and wide
But volumes of prose and poetry sit
In a soul that has learned to hide.
With a sweep of the hand and a tilt of the head
Her spoken words take command
Yet one who can only wish to be heard
Sees her dreams sifted as sand.
A smile and a laugh that captures the room
Have all eyes upon her face
Overshadowing the smile of one quieter than she
Who knows how to stay in her place.
The crowd filters out, the star has stepped down
And relinquished her spot on the stage
The gentle one smiles, her secret is safe
The wisdom of one clever sage.
When the spotlight grows dim and the voice of the one
Who captured the room grows still
The silent one steals rather quietly away
To a world her thoughts long to fill.
A place where her silent voice will be heard
Awaits the soft touch of her hand
As she speaks, the keys obey every touch
Words appear at her slightest command.
The sound of one voice has its moment in time
But silence soon follows its shores
Yet written words live through ages and rhyme
And, when read, break through many doors.
The world has a place for each voice to be heard
Whether spoken or written online
Let true words flow freely from each passionate soul
And unite with His ties that bind.
