Your living word has condemned my heart,
and yet the miracle of Your love has set my
heart free. For this morning when I did not
want to get up out of bed to commune with
You, I was moved by Your Spirit to rise,
allowing me to feel the warm kiss of Your love.
And You began again to show me the error
of my ways, no matter how good or bad
I have become…You showed me that my
best efforts are but trash, for the good I would
do, I do not, but the bad always seems
That I do more.
Who am I my God, that You should call
me by name and massage my heart from
one of stone to one of flesh? Who am I
but a man of worthless flesh that You should
Wash me and make me clean?
For as each day is a new world to itself
so I would spend my day on my own selfish
Interests with only a small part of it being shared
with You. Yet You still call out to me while
Your words ring so very true, reminding me
as they embrace my ears, that I am yours.
For my life is indeed in Your Hands alone, and
You love me, for Your lips did speak to my spirit
saying “Jacob I loved, And Esau I hated”!
Forgive met this day, my many daily sins, Oh Lord,
wash and make me clean, bringing my heart
to life in a way that I have never known,
making it along with my soul and my spirit,
alive with Your never ending fountain of life,
filling me with a taste of eternity which
never leaves my side.
And call to me Lord daily, morning, noon, and
night and I will answer Your call for I do live
only To hear the sound of Your voice and to feel
The touch of Your spirit as it softly touches
My mind.
For there is but one true Life in this world
and You alone have divine ownership
of it. Hold me so lovingly close now
forever to Your Heart, that I may
always taste of its delights. And
though I am made of sinful flesh,
my spirit that You have blessed
will always feel the warm kiss of
of Your love as it praises Your Name.
