So many questions
Where do we turn?
Who and where can we put our trust?

Constantly changing
People come and go
Jobs lost and money canít be found

Where to the answers come?
At times we feel like a feather
being tossed in the wind

No direction or purpose
We seem to be on a
merry - go Ė round

Itís time to get off!
No more running
in circles without hope

We breathe deeply and
for a few minutes
rest in our searching hearts

We havenít been
there for awhile
and itís uncomfortable

Being in the silence
has its own sound
of fear and anxiety

We say softly
all will be well
I am at home with my soul

At first the words
mean very little but
as we say them slowly they sink in

During the journey
to the soul
we may feel like yelling

We may feel pain we
never knew we had
We yell,Ē Why!Ē

We may do this
many times until
we can yell no more

Now we surrender to our soul
Lying in the gentle hands
of love and tranquility

We have found our answers
Our purpose is to love and be loved
The eternal light of Jesus will never leave

We have found our peace
We now know the truth
within the wisdom and light of our soul

Thank you for such a beautiful poem. I loved the last verse about peace, truth, wisdom and light of our soul. Good job and God bless.

I especially liked the line... Being in the silence has its own sound
of fear and anxiety

This is so true. It reminds me that sometimes God remains silent... sometimes it seems like His answer will never come. Then, in the midst of this silence, uncertainty sneaks in. I don't know about you, but fear and anxiety, added together with uncertainty can be excruciating.

I have learned (the hard way) that God's moments of silence are usually when I learn the most, because these moments force me to seek Him more diligently than before.

Thank you for this. It touched me.

I could definitely relate to this poem. Some of the lines felt like you took them right out of my thoughts. Your message is one I really needed to hear just now.
