Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (New King James Version)
Grace is said to be unmerited favor.
We do not deserve it.
No amount of mountain climbing
will achieve it.
No walking along the deepest
valley will discover it.
It cannot be mined out of the earth
like, gold, silver or diamonds.
Nor one may walk into a store on a whim,
and purchase a few gallons of it.
Or trade for it on the stock market
and then boast about the transaction
on Facebook, Twitter or on one’s own Website.
James 4:6 “But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.” (NKJV)
It cannot be put away into an old chest
to be passed along to one’s
children and their children’s children.
Yet it is of itself infinitely precious
And of great lasting value.
For it is a free gift from heaven above.
Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved, through faith,
And that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” (NKJV)
