When I saw this topic, I felt led to write this poem for
my son and daughter-in-law who leave this week on their journey of love.

The paper trail seemed endless -
They always requested 'one more.'
So many forms to be witnessed
As they went in and out all the doors.

The appointments also seemed endless
And the waits were longer still
At offices, doctors, and agencies,
All charging exorbitant bills.

And, the wait for mail seemed endless
As the official papers were filed.
So many details to cover
To get this precious child.

But, the day is finally coming
When the process will be complete.
"Mom and Dad" are heading to China,
A voyage so bittersweet.

For their first China Doll is staying at home
And will be greatly missed.
But, soon she will have a new sister
To cuddle and hug and kiss.

We wish these dear ones, "Bon Voyage"
As they go on their journey of love.
Our prayers will travel with them -
May they be blessed by God above.

And when they return safely to us
We'll rejoice with such happy tears!
We ask God to be Head of their family
And guide them throughout all their years.
