Bon voyage, sweet little love
Baby girl of our hearts
Butterfly float away

Soar on the breezes
Blow kisses from heaven
We wait for a meeting day

Tiny hands so fragile
Small toes so lovely
Walk where angels are

Little eyes of wonder
That never will see
Anything too hard

Like we have seen here
When you left so soon
We were wanting you

We were wanting to know you
But now you are known
By one faithful and true

We are so lonely
Sometimes for you
It seems so very long

But it helps sometimes
To think you sing
A new and lovely song

We cannot sing it yet,
We only know part of
the words and the tune

Such a lucky girl you are
So many who love you
Here and beyond the shore

Someday our wings will come
When He calls us
Then we won’t wonder anymore

I like the rhyme scheme here. It's different, but it works for me. The poem is tender and sweet.

Loved this bitter-sweet tribute. It is so hard to let go of those we love on earth, especially children. Well done.
