Everyday I rest in a familiar place
And come face to face with Godís grace.

Some days I wear a smile from ear to ear,
Since as far as my eyes can see, my path is clear.

But on other days, darkness closes in,
And I canít even see whatís around the next bend.

But regardless of what Iím feeling on any given day,
Godís Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my way.

Still I must confess at times when I hear His voice,
I shut my ears and make my own selfish choice.

Yet, I know Jesus never gives up on me
Because when I turn around, I find His arms open wide continually.

The lesson Iím learning is as clear as day Ė
Heís always going to be there for me no matter where I stray.

So Iíve grown to find comfort in this place
Where I rest and come face to face with Godís grace.

You see, Iím the reader who daily inhales Godís life-giving Words
While Heís the ďBreatherĒ whose truth dispels all of lifeís blurs.

So everyday when you look for me,
Iíll be drinking in His truth and being set free.

Iíve come to learn that in my weakness, He is strong Ė
Thatís why being in His Word daily is where I belong.

And if you can nod your head to all Iíve said and say, ďI agree.Ē
Then why not take a moment now from your busy day and join me?

We both know that the only way to make sense of lifeís ďrat raceĒ
Is to read Godís Word everyday and come face to face with His all-sufficient grace.

AMEN! Start your day with Gods Holy Word and Satan doesn't stand a chance. His grace is sufficient for all. Keep writing.

I really liked this especially the part about you being the reader and He the breather. However, "I'll be drinking in His grace and being set free" seemed awkward to me. I think it's the be and being in the same sentence. Perhaps '...His grace as He sets me free' would work. Overall good message and I thank you for inviting me to join you.

Your words are very powerful and beautiful. There's a few spots that have a little problem flowing and meter, but I also struggle with rhythm. but your thoughts and words make up for the tiny bumps. Keep writing and never lose that passion.
