THE KALEIDOSCOPE of CREATION
If it’s a colorful world, then God made it that way. Therefore, it must be for everyone, not just the sighted that see in color. No; if it’s equally for everyone it has to be much more that that.
A person of unusual traits or habits or one of questionable reputation, is often referred to as a colorful character. Someone that has had a wide range rather extraordinary experiences is often said to have led a colorful life.
Do we think of colorful as meaning variety? That’s part of it. But, a variety that contains nothing of any real interest can still be bland and drab. When God created this world, He did it with more colors than man can see with his physical eye. What we can see ranges from white to bold primary colors and includes every imaginable combination and hue from very light to very dark. But, when sin entered into the picture, man was no longer perfect. Some people can’t perceive color and others can’t see at all. God didn't leave them out.
Think about the wide variety of shapes in nature. Then add to that everything man has been given the ability to make. We should also consider sounds. Imagine sitting in a quiet place listening to the delicate song of a small bird. Now, walk less then a quarter of a mile and hear the roar of a lion. Your probably in a zoo but, you get the idea. We're blest with such a colorful variety of sound from creation. Then, there's music. The alility to create music is one of God's greatest gifts to man. Except for chamber music. If there was ever a colorless form of music, that's it. I think that one was totally man's idea.
Unfortunately, there are those that can't see or hear. Their world consist of touch, feel, taste, and smell. How many varieties of shapes and textures can you think of? How many tastes and smells are there? They're endless. Each person experiences God's colorful world by what abilities have been given to them. The colors of God's creation, like anything od real value, is far more than meets the eye. Of coures, the greatest and most brilliant color is God's love.
