It's a colorful world! Let's look around!
Blue swirled skies, brown plowed ground.

Street lights flashing green, yellow, red.
Hot black macadam and tire tread.

Silver streams and golden sun,
Sandy white beaches beckon fun.

Peachy skin turns summer bronze
Auburn hair, streaks sun bleached blonde.

Pink fuzzy slippers on a gray haired lady.
A man in a tie-dyed shirt sits where its shady.

Sweet purple grapes to be made into wine.
Orange pumpkins cling to their tangled green vine.

Red, white and blue of a flag unfurled,
Add to the pallet of our colorful world.

All part of a picture of grand design,
Created in love by God, most Divine.

It's a colorful world, and it wasn't by chance.
There are oodles of colors in every glance.

Wetting our appetites, waking our senses,
Luring us in, alerting defenses.

Colors are woven in all that we do,
The message they bring help discern what is true.

Yellow screams caution, red can mean warning.
The pureness of white, and the black dress of mourning.

Green signals that it's OK to proceed.
Gold medals are given to those who succeed.

Silver means weve got a little ways to go,
And bronze tells us... not there yet, but on the right road.

Love in our hearts is conveyed by red.
Crystal clear glistening tears, are shed.

In a world without color wed all be the same.
Nothing to distinguish, describe, or name.

Wed bump into each other and surely complain;
That life is so boring, blah, and mundane.

God knew what he was doing as he picked up His brush.
Painting and splashing right down to pink blush.

Each minute detail, He slated with color.
So we could enjoy a world like no other.

Oh, wonderful colors! Gods given so much.
His brilliance shines through, with His every touch.

Let us not take for granted that color just came...
But give praise to the Artist, proclaiming His fame!

Charming couplets--perfect for setting the mood of this light poem.

Note: A "pallet" is a straw bed. You wanted "palette" in your title.

I enjoyed this lilting poem.

A little helter-skelter but I could tell it's from the heart. Keep writing.
