It is a comfy blanket of purest white
It lays over her, covering
Over her, such glorious newness
Has permeated the once wintry cold air
That used to make her shiver; it is a bright new day
It is the day Maggie turned her life over to God above

Gentle waves of love falling from above
Glistening clean and white
A day like no other day
A time for renewal, recovery
A day to leave the coldness of this world’s air
Behind, and bask in all things new

She reaches for the new
Maggie is born again from above
She breathes in redemptive air
Her sins are washed as white
As new fallen snow as it covers
Over the earth, today is the first day

Now Maggie’s days
Will be spent in the beauty of newness
For love reached down and covered
Her, that blessed love from up above
Gave her a clean slate, and washed her white
Giving her salvation’s rejuvenating air

Untainted, lovely and holy air
Jesus breathed life into Maggie that day
Turning her crimson into white
Making everything old, new
The Father sees from up above
No more shame, she has now been covered

By the blood of Christ, she’s been covered
His Faith is present in the air
Around her and above
His Spirit will walk beside her now, everyday
To show her the living way and the new
Found light, whiter than any white

Today Maggie was born again from above
Jesus covered her sins and breathed love into her air.
He gave her a white robe, a life with new meaning and a new beginning.

"It is a comfy blanket of purest white
It lays over her, covering
Over her, such glorious newness" this has no meter in your poem. There are parts that are very good and others that are quite bumpy. But the good part were quite good.

Thank you for sharing. I never thought about a blanket of white but that is what Jesus does. Covered with His pure sweet blood which washes us white as snow.
