Have you ever felt blue? Blue to the face when situations may have embarrassed you. Or, you may feel blue when your shoulders are down and your face drooping. Whatever your circumstances, know that God is watching over you.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick. But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. (Proverbs 13:12). Have you lost any hope recently and is making your heart sick? Who do you turn to when such a situation happen?

The greatest gift that one can possess is the gift of life that Jesus freely paid for on Calvary cross. If we have a relationship with God we have life. The greatest joy is to know that we are loved by God. The greatest sorrow is when we sin. Our creator God is the source of life. If we have God we have everything.

What is the one thing that you live for? To me it is intimacy with God. Without Godís presence everyday, we live in vain. Our heavenly Father knows every of our need, and He wants to bless us daily. However, God will never force His way against us, but He leads gently and lovingly towards all our circumstances. We have a loving Father.

When you feel blue to the face, what do you do? Do you fret, complain or criticise? What is the one hope and aim that you strive for when we know that God has called us to excellency? Never mind about the Mondayís blue, but you stick your neck out and fix and focus your eyes on Jesus.

Having a positive attitude half conquers our battle. It is in the position of confidence that we win. In every situation we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37). Christ rules and reigns with us. With Him we have everything. We are rich and join heirs with Christ.
Our citizenship is in heaven. We belong to Christ and no circumstances can cause us to be blue. We overwhelmingly conquer with Him and shall reign with Him too. We are His greatest treasure.

When you feel blue, down and out, know firstly who you are in Christ. Do not allow the devil to taut you with what God has given to you. He has given us joy and peace and we will not allow Satan to rob us of our full inheritance in Christ. We are Godís best friend.

I like the way you think!! A day outside His courts is not worth it is it? We are so blessed to have a place like FW's to share our hearts' cry. I felt your heart burn as I read your words.

A good positive little sermon! I found the expression "blue to the face" a bit confusing although I knew what you meant. I just kept seeing people with blue face paint on like the green faced witch in Wicked! but thats prob just my lack of lateral thinking! Thanks for the promises and solid ground this peice is grounded on!

All who truly believe are overcomers and God gives each of us enough grit to get up and keep on keeping on until the race is won and our work is done. Loved this very much. Thank you for your description of being blue in the face.

Very good. One sentence I did not understand though, "When you are feeling blue to the face." Not sure what that meant. Also probably just a typo, but it should read "joint" heirs, not "join". Overall good job.

Blue to the face is an expression of being down-cast. Thanks C Clemons for your comments.

lol I don't think you're supposed to comment on your own piece. It's supposed to be anonymous.
Nice sermon though. Didn't really speak to me, but that doesn't mean it didn't hit the mark with someone else. Thanks for sharing.
